Announcement! Free Creative Writing Workshops at the Adelaide Migration Museum this January and February!

The Migration Museum is playing host to a series of free creative writing workshops which I will be running this January. and February.

We will explore different styles of poetry with the emphasis on experimentation and creativity rather than form.

Entitled “I Am Adelaide” the workshops will take place on the 19th and 20th of January between 1.00pm and 4.00pm and on 7th and 8th February between 1.00pm and 4.00pm at the chapel in the Migration Museum. Free to attend thanks to support provided by The City of Adelaide, with no booking necessary, they are designed to be drop-in events.

Suitable for both adults and children to participate in, you can arrive at any time between 1.00 and 3.30 to join in the creation of a piece of art which will later be part of further workshops and talks.

Inspired by one of the exhibits at the Migration Museum, we will be writing directly onto recycled fabric squares about our memories, experiences and feelings related to the city of Adelaide…creating a patchwork of words for future generations to enjoy!
